i've got joy overflowing :)

i've got joy overflowing :) so before you read this post, know that i'm happy and be happy with me :)

alright. let's start with the best day of the week - TODAY!!! went with wg to sentosa. played from 11am to 3pm. 4 HOURS UNDER THE BAKING SUN! lovely... my back's all burnt and i'm so happy. haha. i was optimistic that it was gonna be fun even though it was just the two of us. and i think it was :) we played for about an hour without a net and then i went over to ask a group if we could join them coz it was getting boring without a net. they let us join in. they were a group of about eight guys one year older than us. all from hwa chong. sec 3/4 class gathering. cool right!? in ns alr then still got class gathering on weekends at sentosa! wow...

anyway, the guy i asked, p, spoke to me in mandarin and, as usual, i casually (hehe) replied since he wasn't speaking in proverbs or anything. haha. just simple mandarin. but wg had to spoil the fun and told the guy i was malay. HAHA. p was like wtf! haha. since p already knew, i just included my race when i intro-ed myself to the rest of the guys. haha. "hi. i'm ... i'm malay." and this is followed by a shocked look on most of their faces. haha. i'm so used to it.

at first p was like "we just play one game k? in case you're too good (refering to wg and i)." WOOHOO!!! what a morale boost! haha. coz they saw us playing and thought that the standard disparity was too great. haha. but it wasn't la. they're good too. and they're a goofy bunch these hwa chong guys. haha. p, wg, and i teamed up for the first game and p was like "AC! AC! *clap* *clap*" haha. and he called his friends "cheenas." haha. making fun of stereotypes :) p asked wg for his number so that he could let us know if they were playing again. YAY!!! more volleyball mates :):):)

met up with ky for LAN training (haha) at btp. left4dead is fun :) this zombie pinned me down and i couldn't get it off so being the noob that i am, i asked in an ever so calm tone "eh. what's happening?" while my life bar was shortening by the second! haha. luckily wg looked over to my screen and saw the HUNTER (ohhhh so that's a hunter) attacking me and saved my ass. haha. met fellow qm at btm for dinner after ky went off. i had dessert. budget la. haha. there was a pretty girl at the adjacent table. haha. took 157 home. fell asleep. too tired alr. wg also fell asleep on his bus ride home. haha. what a fun day :):):)

ok ok. enough about today. i went to sentosa ytd too!!! haha! with tl, yl and des. it was then that i realised that i suddenly knew how to spike with that forward spin thing that i've never been able to do! another morale boost :) quite fun except the fact that we weren't prepared for the oven temperatures. plus it rained at one plus. so we only got to play for about two hours. went for lunch at banquet vivo after, walked around vivo and went off. okay day. the rain made the day gloomy. but at least we got our fun in the sun :):):)

and what happened during the work week? lots! i managed to finish the damn topic and my sec one normal academic class is finally catching up with the express class! phew... just in time for common test week. i also realised that my normal academic class is not as immature as i thought. they need a little push and all their work will be done :) i was going to scold some of them for handing in SUPER late work. but once i told them that they owe work, they handed in. no idea why must wait for me to make personal requests for their work though. well... at least they handed in :):):)

and... i've been helping with classroom management for some less well-behaved classes, and i managed to make a few friends. k they're not exactly friends since i'm a "teacher", but they can be once this thing is over. anyway, i made a bet with this boy so that he would study for his test. starbucks. can't believe i'm saying this, but i hope he fails. haha. i'm broke la. haha kk i'm not so bad. i'd be happy if he passes even though that means i have to spend. coz that means that i helped him achieve something :):):)

sunday after valentine's

its sunday and i'm back. let's talk about happy things.

k actually i think its sad that GREY'S ANATOMY IS OVER... but im glad that i could finish watching the season before i enlist :) quite a sweet ending. must watch the next season! but my sister's friend said she stopped watching after season four because it got too annoying how meredith and derek keep going back and forth. sigh... i'll probably be in camp while they play it on tv. gonna have to watch it online on the weekends.

brought a secondary one class to the science centre for yoghurt making. it was okay. the kids were a little rowdy but they listened to instructions. one kid kept saying i looked bored. which i was. haha. talked to one of the guides a little. she's my age. from AJC i think. she couldnt believe that cy was 19 too! haha! oh and i met a secondary school friend. sk. she's working at the gift shop there. she whispered something damn funny in my ear... "he a bit gay right?" (referring to the other intern) and i said "what a thing to say..." but what i was thinking was "YUP!"

what a weird valentine's day. no real plans. but somehow still occupied. managed to stay out till 12 plus. NTU talk with ct, zat, hong kee and ky. 11am to 5pm. met up with v, had dinner and watched UNDERWORLD. quite a nice show. should go watch the first movie before watching the second one though. BY THE WAY, ENG WAH SUCKS!!! the seats had so little leg room and the air conditioning was non-existent. really. it sucks!

met wg (arhhhh... feel like killing you right about now. but it'll wear off (: ) at orchard so he could have kfc. BY THE WAY, THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS NON-EXISTENT HERE TOO! AND IN THE 7-11 NEXT DOOR! IT'S LIKE EVERYONE JUST DECIDED TO BAKE!

v went home. ky wg and i went dempsey. was okay. got to see my fellow qm :) plus! the qms got chauffeured to holland v by malaysian's driver to fetch the aspiring magician! so cool right? haha. OUR seniors came. nice talking to them. had a lot of army ghost stories. creepy. but stick-thin said its not scary unless you think about it. so dont. and malaysian is such an alcoholic. seriously. she needs help. like AA or something. haha.

im so glad there wasn't a singles party on valentine's. coz that way i didn't miss out on any action. haha. sorry v. next time la. think the talks in the day were draining. was exhausted by the time i got home.

got my hair cut today. its weird. luckily im not planning to see anybody for a week. hopefully it'll grow a bit by next weekend. went to run too. the only exercise i've gotten the entire weekend. gave up after 20 mins. the spicy food in my stomach was burning me from the inside out. haha. but at least i managed to spend some time in the sun. the BRIGHT side :)

had "tuition" with my cousin. he didn't bring any of his books home. so cant do anything -_- ended up helping him with his history project, which we completed :)

but first let me get this out to everyone i haven't told... THERE'S A CREEPY GUY NEAR MY PLACE!!! k you really don't have to read this part if i've already told you about him. haha. anyway...

it was about 1030pm at the traffic light near my place. i was on my way home from tuition. while waiting for the light, this chinese man, probably in his forties, turned around and said hi. let me recall the conversation as best as i can...

creep: hi

me: hi

creep: oh you're very friendly

me: haha. i think more people should be friendly.

(light comes on. we start walking. AND HE PUTS HIS ARM ACROSS MY SHOULDERS!!!)

creep: i hope you don't mind me putting my arm on your shoulder.

me: uhhhh okay... (thinking well this guy's weird... started walking faster so he'd remove his arm. thank goodness he did... phew...)

chat chat chat... then under a block near mine...

creep: why don't we sit down and talk? just five minutes.

i was like hmmm this guy must be depressed or something. i considered sitting down... but i didn't feel comfortable. so i just stood there. and he sat down.

creep: just five minutes...

me: nvm la... the seat's wet (it was raining earlier in the day)

creep: it's not wet here (he patted the space right next to him!)

at this point i was like SHIT!!! he got up and started looking for another seat. and as soon as he turned i started missed-calling my sis and dad. LUCKILY my dad called back and i pretended as if he wanted me home. i told the CREEP i had to go and walked ever so quickly. PHEEEEEEEEEEW!

ANYWAY...

school has been WONDERFUL!!! the kids have been heaven. and i got a really good review for one of the lessons :) its great!

my cousin got engaged yesterday. had this big ceremony. was okay. not the most fun i've had. but whatever. family :) she offered to take us out to clarke quay for dinner but i had to decline coz i was paddling with ky the next morning.

which i did :) 8km in the peisheng. what a nice morning :)

anyway. i can finally confirm that i'm part of a beach volleyball interest group :) they had a game today but i couldn't make it. went visiting with secondary school friends :) can't wait to finally play volleyball with them. wonder what kind of people they are... anyone wanna join please let me know. they play on sundays. late morn to early afternoon.

CNY week!!!

been a wonderful week :) time just seemed to fly by...

i had actually written a few paragraphs. but i deleted them coz it was starting to sound like a narration. so here it goes...

life's been good. been meeting up with friends :) :) :)

went to yj's house ytd. what sinful fun. haha. no la. stop thinking dirty. i just gambled a bit. no drinking. but won some cash $$$ after losing lots of yj's. haha. met some of her council friends. they're mostly nice.

after most of them left, we talked about yj and her friend's troubled love-lives. sigh... im so glad my mind's too occupied to be worrying about when im going to get a girlfriend. but it's all planned out. i'll get together with THE girl in uni :)

one of my friends is trying to break it off with someone. its a pity coz they've been together for some time. hope they'll patch things up.

think i view relationships more seriously than most. i feel people get together and break up too often. which is why i think people shouldn't even be boyfriend and girlfriend in the first place.

they should just spend time together.

as often or as seldom as they want.

no strings attached.

they should definitely have their own lives.

they shouldn't be acting differently in front of people from when they're alone.

and if things don't work out, they should definitely still at least be able to be friends.

and they shouldn't be trying to forget one another.

think its really sad when you wanna forget. then that part of your life will always be missing.

k enough emo talk. haha

doesn't look like it's been a good week right? haha. but it has. all the time spent with friends :)

anyway, i've been gyming and running rather frequently :) my pull-up target for army is met. 20 pull-ups! yeah okay it might not sound that great but i'm happy :) still trying to get under 9 minutes for 2.4... did interval training with wx... I SWEAR I WAS DYING!!! maybe running with a crosser isn't such a good idea. haha. just kidding. he's very encouraging :) and very serious. just what i need :) i'm super cannot stick to programme when it comes to running. haha.
